A Pet Comforts Humans - Do You Comfort Pets?
Who deeply desires to comfort a pet? Everyone looks to a pet as a comfort for the human. Which means the pet is comforting the pet owner by giving to the human something of value in affection and loyalty and protection in most cases.
How are we comforted by pets? What is so comforting about a pet?
Top 10 Pet List- What is comforting about a pet?
1. A pet gives you affection, expecting to get it back spontaneously, yet will not judge you or play mind games when you don't give the affection back.
2. A pet will live its life fully with you as its # 1 priority to please and interact with in exercise and affection and even training.
3. A pet will not tell you what to do, instead, will express desires for your action through charades. If you can't solve the charade, your pet will forgive you and move on.
4. Your pet loves you, proving it with a willingness to die for you if neccessary. Most people do not recognize this trait, because most people are not ever in that situation where their pet is required to act to that degree while protecting it's master.
5. Your pet will lay for hours, just resting in the beauty of the privilege to be near you. This may be one of the biggest ways our pets comfort us.
6. Your pet, in most cases, is always in the mood for exchanging affection. Whereas your mate might in some cases not be in the mood for plain pure affection, without ulterior motives.
7. A pet does not love its owner less when it is abused by its owner. This is the miracle of a dogs main trait; FORGIVENESS.
8. A pet can be trained to act and even react according to each pet owners personalities and lifestyle, yet our human friends and family would never consider being trained by us.
9. A pet is willing to go with your daily schedule without ever trying to change it...oh, Maybe a short, cute charade for a walk or drive in the car, but without any real demands.
10. A pet gives us a glimpse into how a person interacts with God when they are dedicated to loving and serving God. That is how our pets, especially dogs, interact with us. Like we are their God.
If all these pet traits in my top 10 list of how we are comforted by pets, does not make you want to comfort a pet yourself, you may be into pet ownership for the wrong reason. Every pet deserves to have a pain/abusive free lifestyle with a loving person or family. If the pet is not getting it, it is better to let the pet start over with a loving owner who serves the pet in kindness and humility.
